Jorge Newbery
Jorge is the CEO and Founder of American Homeowner Preservation. He has been a principal in mortgage, property management and real estate brokerage firms, and holds a Series 65 securities license as well as real estate broker’s licenses. Jorge has been involved in thousands of real estate transactions and specializes in distress situations. Jorge draws on his extensive experience to lead AHP's mission to facilitate win-win-win solutions for homeowners, investors, and lenders.

Verria Kelly
Verria is the Chief Operating Officer of American Homeowner Preservation. She was a principal at a property management firm and has extensive marketing and operations experience from previous positions at software and IT companies. Verria now applies her skills to lead marketing and operations at AHP.
Alison Lundberg
Alison applies her passion for service in a business development role at American Homeowner Preservation where she builds relationships with banks and other lenders, as well as brokers, in order to negotiate the purchase of mortgage loan pools. She joined AHP to work for a self-sustaining and community serving organization. Alison graduated from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago with a double major in urban ministries and biblical studies.
Laura Sorg
Laura’s background in the real estate industry and passion for making a difference propelled her to her role as the Marketing Manager at American Homeowner Preservation. Laura graduated with a B.S. in Advertising from North Park University in Chicago.
Jake Laffey
Jake’s desire to help rebuild neighborhoods and boost the economy led him to his current position at American Homeowner Preservation. His Asset Manager role puts him in charge of assets from purchase to disposition. Jake graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Business & Economics (finance concentration) from North Park University in Chicago.
Freddy Constante
Freddy graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.S in Business Management where he learned to effectively manage employees and delegate resources. He has also volunteered in after school youth programs for many years.
Shawn Tolu
Shawn joined American Homeowner Preservation to help communities and people nationwide. He applies his passion for service as an Asset Manager and his responsibilities include prompt resolutions of assets by interfacing with homeowners, servicers, agents and other stakeholders. Shawn graduated from DePaul University in Chicago with a degree in finance.
Christal Tarver
Christal’s talents for negotiating and dispute resolution are exemplified in her role as Litigation Resolution Specialist at AHP. Christal holds a B.A in Communication and Culture from Howard University and a J.D from DePaul University College of Law. In her time at DePaul she participated in Housing and Development Legal Clinic. She is excited to be a part of a team that understands the importance of protecting and rebuilding communities.
Andrew Border
As Litigation Resolution Specialist at AHP, Andrew feels that being part of a crowdfunded organization that both helps homeowners and investors is truly exciting. He brings with him a B.A in history from Loras College in Dubuque, IA and an M.A in archeology from Illinois St. University in Normal, IL. He feels that assisting in the rebuilding of America is something anyone can be proud of
Peter Kelly
Peter’s role as social impact blogger with American Homeowner Preservation allows him to apply his desire to help rebuild communities across the nation and make a difference with his passion for writing. He graduated from DePaul University with a B.A. in journalism.
Mark Swenson
Mark joined AHP as a student intern and transitioned to a full-time employee in an administrative accounting role. Mark has a passion for building and maintaining communities and has demonstrated this through his service to North Park University’s residence life department. Mark holds a B.S. in Business and Economics with concentrations in management and finance.
Michael Nelson
Michael’s passion for local and global justice issues brought him to American Homeowner Preservation. Michael spent a year teaching English and history in Poland as a Fulbright Scholar, and he graduated from North Park University in Chicago with a B.A. in History.
Luke Woods
Luke brings his finance skills to his Associate position at AHP, helping maximize the number of families that can afford to stay in their home. Luke is a junior at North Park University in Chicago where he is pursuing a B.S. in Business and Economics with a finance concentration.
Alysse Romero
Alysse is excited about her role as an Associate at AHP. She has seen the greediness that can take place in business settings and is happy to be part of a company like AHP whose values align so well with her own. In her prior experiences, Alysse has developed a passion to help people find and purchase items they truly like and can afford. She is a senior at North Park University where she will earn a B.A in Business and Economics.
Jacob Ives
As an Associate at AHP, Jacob is grateful to be part of a company that is able to help rebuild communities while concurrently facilitating substantial returns for investors. He is passionate about for-profit businesses that are able to maintain a socially conscious agenda, which aligns perfectly with AHP’s mission. Jacob will be a Senior at North Park University this fall where he is pursuing a B.A in Business and Economics and a B.A in Biblical and Theological Studies.
Dave Ratzek
Dave’s passion for marketing allows him to increase awareness of AHP's mission to help financially struggling individuals to stay in their homes, while at the same time creating a lucrative opportunity for investors. Dave is a Junior at DePaul University, double majoring in Marketing and Psychology.
Aaron Olson
Aaron’s role as an Associate allows him to gain a better understanding of how companies with a social based mission can impact communities. Aaron earned a B.S. in Mathematics with a minor in business and economics at North Park University in Chicago.
